Cat's work currently consists of both Western & Traditional still lifes. She caught the bug of collecting things, early on from her Mom. Together they haunted many second hand and antique stores. As a still life artist she really enjoys using "found objects". "There’s just something so exciting about finding an old Indian pot, worn and faded from years of use and bringing out its beauty in a painting." She also love visiting museums like the Heard Museum close to her home in the Phoenix area. Cat considers herself a fairly versatile artist in that she loves to paint many subjects, still lifes, people and animals. A good friend and teacher advised her years ago, to paint what you love, and for her, it’s still lifes. www.catcorcilius.com Cat participates in gallery shows & national juried shows every year including: The Russell, The Sale to Benefit the C.M.
